Masq is a free pass-and-play party game. Everyone at the table gets the same secret word and a role to match — everyone except the Jester, who gets neither and has to bluff their way through the questioning without being found out. No app, no install, no accounts: it runs in a browser and you pass the phone around.
Play with roles — Locations, Biomes, Cuisines, Movie/TV Show Genres, Music Genres — or in Word Mode, where the answer is a single word from Animals, Food/Drinks, Movies/TV, Numbers or Objects. Most rounds show a picture of the answer: a film poster, an album sleeve, a photograph of the animal or the dish. You can add your own categories too.
No. Masq runs in a web browser on any phone, tablet or laptop — there is no app to install, no account to make and nothing to pay. Open the page and start a round. If you like hidden-role and bluffing games, it plays the way those do, but it needs one device instead of one each.
It works with a small group around a table and scales up from there. You choose how many Jesters are in play, or let the game pick a random number each round, and you can set a timer for the discussion. For exactly two players there is Duel Mode, which drops the Jester and the roles: you each get a different word from the same category and question each other until one of you can name what the other is holding.
